BOOKMAKERS BURDENS IN AUSTRALIA AUSTRALIAAn An Australian exchange states that the State Executive Council have adopted a now regulation submitted by the Victoria Racing Club relating to bookmakers on the Flemington race course It pro ¬ vides that in addition to the ordinary charges levied upon liookmakers the latter and their clerks shall be required in future to pay the ordinary charges of admission to Ihe respective race course divisions In which the betting rings are situated Hitherto bookmakers and their clerks have been admitted to the course on the payment of a nominal fee of ouu shilling each
