WORTH NAMED FOR MONTREAL STAKE Montreal Qne August S The entries for the eight stakes to be run during the autumn meeting if the Montreal Jockey Club from September 7 to 31 inclusive have sill been returned The nominating this year in each of them compares favorably with previous meetings the majority of the regulars at Blue Bonnets having named horses for all of the open events The enlry list for the Kings Plate and Provincial Nursery Stakes are larger than ever before and show marked improvement in the quality of those named as well There are sixteen in the Nursery Stakes while ten have been nominated for the Plate The value of both of these events has been increased increasedFor For the tirst time in tho history of racing in Montreal II C Hallenbeek has applied for stabling accommodations and is included among the stake nominators He has named Worth and Adams Ex ¬ press for the Earl Grey Cup one mile and a quarter quarterThere There will IKS no scarcity of excellent racing ma ¬ llrial to draw from and the meeting will be one of the most attractive not only to the public but to the horsemen that the club has ever held There will be no purse of less value than 300 while there will be numerous overnight handicaps carrying a value of 000 and 700 The club has dealt liber ¬ ally with races for horses which have been non winners during a certain period Some of those conditions date back into June which will afford beaten opportunityThere horses an opportunity There will be at least one steeplechase run every liny through the meeting Two of the stakes are through the field and a good class of jumpers should show in them The Montreal Jockey Club has ar ¬ ranged steeplechasesFor for the following steeplechases For threeyearolds weight 135 pounds winners once to carry five pounds extra twice seven pounds sex allowance One mile and a half halfFor For threeyearolds and maiden four and five yearolds weights threeyearolds 133 fouryear olds 150 fiveyearolds 15S winners once five pounds extra twice seven pounds sex allowance About two miles milesThe The above races will snit many owners who have likely threeyearolds in training for jumping It will be the first opportunity afforded them on the Canadian circuit
