WILL HAVE SHORT BUT GLORIOUS MEETING Louisville Ky August 0 Monday October 7 will mark the second running of the fourmile Ken lucky Endurance Stakes This event will bo the feature of the ninedays race meeting at Churchill Downs tliis fall It is the shortest season of fall racing given at this famous track since the early tlays of the course hut the Endurance Stakes and three other big events will go far towards making a little over a weeks racing as glorious as that of my longer meetings ever held at this historic course in the autumn The Kentucky Endurance Stakes will he the rich ¬ est event decided on the American turf this season In addition to the subscription money and the start ¬ ing fees the New Louisville Jockey Club adds this season 7500 to this race and there is also a gold cnp valued at 1000 donated by the Kentucky State Racing Commission which also goes as a trophy to the owner of the winning horse There has been no Derby or any big threeyearold race or allaged handicap this season which compares in money value with this renewal of the Kentucky Endurance Stakes which the New Louisville Jockey Club Intends to make as important as the great Kentucky Derby first run in
