A SUCCESSFUL AMATEUR MEETING The windup of the Maryland Hunts meeting at Pimlico was entirely successful and made a fitting close to what has proved to lie one of the finest meetings in the history of amateur racing Th opposition at Havre de Grace took away many of the professionals of course but society and the amateur element more than made amends and the attendance was the best of the meeting meetingAmong Among the many pleasing features on the program none excited more interest among the local crowd than the Ladies Plate This event won by Two Saints the nomination of Miss Frances Brooks was eagerly followed and the fair nominator was over ¬ whelmed with congratulations on the result resultMiss Miss Brooks was the recipient of a handsome gold bracelet as one of the incidents of the race and last night at the club she was hostess at a dinner which included the other subscribers the gentlemen who rode in the race and a number of friends This fea ¬ ture aroused so much interest that it will be con ¬ tinued at future meetings meetingsThe The managers of the meeting were much encour ¬ aged by the interest shown and they promise to make next springs meeting even more attractive Baltimore News
