ADAMS EXPRESS AGAIN A WINNER H C Hallenbecks Good Racer Carries 127 Pounds to Victory at Havre do Grace Havre do Grace Md September 7 A big Satur ¬ day crowd turned out for the racing here today Tho hot and sultry weather finally was broken by a shower which fell during the running of the sixth race Adams Express easily took the measure of those opposed to him in the feature of todays racing which was a handicap at one mile and sev ¬ enty yards The HaUenleck horse after allowing Spring Board to set the early pace Hashed into the load while rounding the far turn where Shil ¬ ling called on him Handling his big impost as if ho did not mind it lie won in a canter The race was robbed of some of its interest by the scratching of Amalfi and Guy Fisher which were looked upon as formidable contenders The time while not as fast as races have been run here represented a milly fast race the lirst mile being run in 1 Genesta was in a soft spot in the days opener and after going into the lead at once was only cantering at the end She was as good as 4 to 5 at one stage of the betting which quotation was forced down to 1 to 2 by post time After Thrifty was scratched in the second lloyal
