INDIANA RACING OFFICIALS ANNOUNCED The management of the Mineral Springs Jockey Club at whose new track near Porter Ind racing is scheduled to begin on October 12 and continue for fifteen days announced yesterday the personnel of the officials who will be in executive charge of th racing All of those named for the executive posi ¬ tions are well known on the American turf J R Malone who for years has been identified with trotting meetings in Indiana and who has also had experience in thoroughbred racing lias been selected for presiding judge Mr Malone is a well known Chicago Board of Trade man and Is uni ¬ versally respected by all who know him He is re ¬ garded as possessing particularly good qualifications for tho position be will fill fillClinton Clinton C Riley associate editor of Daily Racing Form will be associated with Mr Malone in tn judges stand Mr Riley was actively connected with racing in a similar capacity for many years yearsP P P Pomeroy a Chicagoan who has had experi ¬ ence in similar iwsitions on various important Ameri ¬ can race tracks has been engaged as racing secre ¬ tary taryAs As previously announced Richard Dwyer who was extremely popular with Chicago racegoers in tho old days will serve as starter starterAnnouncements Announcements as to the rest of the positions to be tilled at the new track will be made shortly It is understood that James McLaughlin who attained fame as a jockey and who subsequently figured as a racing owner will IH connected with the new track in an ollicial capacity
