DAVIES YEARLINGS A PROMISING LOT Toronto Ont October 12 The yearlings that trainer Charlie Patterson selected and purchased In Kentucky last summer for Robert Davles of this city are described as a wonderfully good lot Be f re he severed his connection with the Davles stable Mr Patterson came to the conclusion that the chestnut colt by Ornament May Hempstead the chestnut colt by Ogden Unterbck and the brown tilly by Ogden Haminerless would develop Into stake winners of high class The last named worked a quarter for air Patterson in 22 3 The Unterock colt has an eighth In 11 to his credit and the May Hempstead colt has been an eighth In ll f A chestnut colt by Ogden Saratoga Belle which worked an eighth in 11 will be slow in coming to his best form in Mr Pattersons opinion Of the others a black colt by Ogden Linda Lee lias worked a quarter in 24 a black filly by Plaudit Sally K went a quarter in 23 and a bay filly bv Star Shoot Marlbel lias a quarter in 23 to her credit Of all these Mr Patterson thought well The bay colt by Ogden Flora Pomona and the chestnut colt by Star Shoot Nisbat have not been tried but the latter is expected to be a clinker
