LOUISVILLE RACING OVER MOST SUCCESSFUL FALL MEETING EVER HELD THERE COMES TO CLOSE Patronage Falls but Littlo Behind Record of Prosper ¬ ous Spring Meeting Qowoll Takes Golden Rod Stakes Meridian in Winning Form Louisville Ky October 1C One of the best fall sessions of racing ever held at Churchill Downs came to a close this afternoon with the victory of Pliant Never before during a corresponding period In the fall has the same amount of interest in racing pre vailed locally Financially the meeting exceeded by far the most sanguine expectations of the man ¬ agement Au idea of the immense
