EXCELLENT PROSPECTS FOR JUAREZ Many Owners to Be Seen at Mexican Course the Coming Winter for First Time Louisville Ky October 20 Col M J Winn after haing devoted several months to Churchill Downs where an extraordinarily successful racing meeting of nine days recently ended has gone to Colorado to recuperate prior to tho opening of the winter racing season of 11121913 at the Jockey Club Juarez track in Mexico On Thanksgiving day the sport will begin to last 100 or more days There will be six or more races every day with no purse of less than 300 In added money Before moneyBefore starting west Colonel Winn announced th5 feature events for the Juarez meeting and in doing so said that other stakes will be oiwned later on The guaranteed value of these events is 1200 in each instance except the Juarez Handicap at six furlongs and tlm Ano Nucvo Handicap at one anil one sixteenth miles for horses of all ages These two races will be worth 1500 each The other events are NuvMcil Handicap one mile for all ages Dos Kepublfcas Handicap seven furlongs all ages El Paso Stakes selling one mile all ages Klo Grande Stakes selling six furlongs all ages Chapultepec Handicap six furlongs for present two yearolds of this year Chihuahua Stakes selling at six furlong for twoyearolds of this year Colonel yearColonel Wiun predicts that Juarez will be th scene of the best winter race meeting held recently in America The horsemen have come to under ¬ stand that at Juarez as everywhere Colonel Winu fulfills all promises promisesAt At the New Louisville Jockey Club office com ¬ munications are being received from turfmen all over the country indicating that they will ship to Juarez in time for the o euiiig ou November 28 Edward Jasper racing secrwtarv for the Jockey Club Juarez is now at Lalonia receiving nominations for the various stakes which will close on Thursday November 7 Immediately after that date Mr Jasper will leave for the Mexican course The courseThe officials of the Juarez meeting will be as fol ¬ lows Stewards Charles F Price W II Feuchler and M J Winn Placing Judge W H Shelley H F Breivogle and Edward Jasper The starter will be Mars Cassldy
