FOUR PROMISING YEARLINGS X rw York November G With the sailing of Rock Sand last week on the Miunewaska atten ¬ tion is called to fcur yearlings the property of August Bclmont which were recently sent from the Nursery Stud near Lexington Ky to liugiand to be trained by John Watson for tlieir engagements in that country Three ot the youngsters are like Tracery the winner of the Doncaster St Loger by Rock Sand SandOnlv Onlv one of them is out of an Englislibred mare Black Walnut but the dams of the other two go back at various points to the English Stud Book The young Rock Sands comprise two colts and a filly The first of tin colts is Black Walnut out of Black Poplar a daughter of Petroncl and dam of the unfortunate Black Rock which was much fanciiti last year when he broke his leg in the Findon Stakes won by Maiden Erlegh ErleghThe The other Rock Sand colt is Dragoman IV a black colt out of the Rayon dOr mare Donna de Ora whose granddam BellaDonna is known to fame in tho Initcd States as the dam of the celebrated Beldame and other good wlnrters wlnrtersTho Tho filly is Sandglow a chestnut out of Golden View the latter a sister to Fair Play by Hastings Fairy Gold Hastings Is out of Sir W Throck mortons Cinderella and one of tho most successful stallions in the United States The fourth year ¬ ling is thought by some who have poen him to be the best of the lot Named Yuba Bill he is a bay colt by Fair Play out of tho St Simon mare St Theodora whose dam was Dorothea a sister to Energy by Sterling Cherry Duchess Yuba Bill Black Walnut and Dragoman IV are entered for the Epsom Derby of 1914 as well an the St Leger and other Important races
