NOTES OF THE TURF Jockey Montour has been engaged to 3o the riding for Mrs L A Livingstons stable stableGodfrey Godfrey Watson the starter of the Victoria Racing Club and the most noted ollicial in that line In Australia is dead deadIt It M Taylor says that the old jumper Waterway broke down so badly in his last race that it is doubtful if he can be brought to the races again At any rate Mr Taylor says he will not attempt to patch him np again againThe The stable of G W Scott who has arrived at Woodbine is made up of T II Iloughtoh Visible Aunt Alice Mawr Lad Dr R L Swarenger General Ben Ledi and the following twoyearolds Captain Ben Myrtle Ledi Prosperos Son Perogoine Janiol and Prospero Hoy Four of the Scott lot arc the progeny of the good broodmare Ben Ledi LediOllicials Ollicials of the Maryland Jockey Club who decided last winter to donate a percentage of tlio not profits of Pimlico meetings to some worthy Baltimore Char ¬ ity will hold a meeting in the near future to decide which institution is in the most need of it It is understood that a different institution will be selected after each spring andautumn meeting and it is probable that this springs donation will go to the Fresh Air Fund to send poor children to the country during the scorching days of July and August
