CHANGES IN CANADIAN RULES The Canadian Racing Associations Committee ro contly made several important changes in the rules governing racing on courses within its Jurisdiction JurisdictionOne One is that the numlicr of races to be run upon any one day be limited to seven Another is that toji weight in handicaps when the added money exceeds 000 shall not be less than 115 pounds Another is that 1500 added shall bo the minimum value of any purse except for hunter and pony races racesAnother Another is that all coupled entries shall run as one horse first second and third Another is that horses on the schooling list shall not be permitted to start in stakes or other races racesAnother Another provides that in the event of a horse being bought or claimed out of a selling race any duly due shall IK divided equally between buyer and seller sellerHoys Hoys who have never ridden in a race must ob ¬ tain permission from the steward of the meeting before they will be allowed to ride rideXo Xo person shall lie allowed to hold a contract on an apprentice or a jockey unless In possession of such a stable of horses as would warrant the em ¬ ployment of a contract jockey or apprentice in the opinion of the committee committeeHalfbred Halfbred horses may be allowed to start in the steeplechases when the stewards are satisfied as to the identity of the horse or horses engaged to run runAt At least one race is to bo given during each meeting for jockeys who have never ridden a win ¬ ner
