THIS MARE A GOOD INVESTMENT Lexington Ky July 2 E Brown trainer of Little Nephew acting for his employer M B Gruber of Louisville came here from Canada today and bought from Charles W sloore of Mere Hill Stud for 2500 the yearling halfbrother to Rod and Gun and Gunshot a bay colt by McGee dam Gunrod by Mirthful The colt is a grand indi ¬ vidual and will l e shipped to Louisville tomorrow tomorrowMr Mr Moore bought Gunrod from John E Madden in the fall of 1910 for 750 In the spring of 1911 she foaled a colt by Planudes for which Moore got 1250 and her next foal brings 2500 leaving Moore the mare and a profit of 3000 less the ex I ense of her keep
