FINE CAED AT HAMILTON OPENING OF SECOND MEETING OF HAMILTON JOCKEY CLUB TAKES PLACE TODAY Ten Point Named to Start in Allowance Race at atSprinting Sprinting Distance for Which Other Good GoodThreeYearOlds ThreeYearOlds Are Also Entered Hamilton Onr July 2o The Hamilton Jockey Club offers a rarely good program for the opening day of its second and final meeting for the season of 1913 The card is made up of seven races the features of which are the Prince Edward Selling Stakes the Royal Canadian Handicap the July Selling Steeplechase and a race over the turf course There is also a sprinting race at six fur ¬ longs for which some of the fastest horses racing on the circuit are entered enteredConditions Conditions promise to be perfect for the sport The dockers pronounce the track faster than ever and it would not he surprising to find several new track records established during the coming meeting A L Astes Ten Point which showed sensational form during the Havre de Grace meeting last spring is one of the eight named to start in the sprint race Ten Point has been freshened and is said to be in splendid condition Calgary Leochares and Pan Zareta are some of those that Ten Point will meet and an interesting contest should result resultJenny Jenny GMdes is among those carded as a starter in the Prince Edward Selling Stakes one mile and a quarter which distance suits her better than the last race in which she ran Well balanced fields are named for all of the races and keen con ¬ tests should result resultReports Reports from Fort Erie are that Amos Turneya Horron is progressing well but it is doubtful an attempt will IK made to train the colt again this year Turney has sent two of his horses Pop Gun and Burning Daylight to race here The pair arc in charge of Harry Rites Contrary RitesContrary to reports sent out from Hamilton that Rudolfo had been shipped to Saratoga the horse Is still here The Enimons racers are now in charge of trainer Jackson and in his gallops Rudolfo is showing a little soreness The horse will fill his engagements here and it is just possible that he will remain on the Canadian circuit instead of being shipped to Saratoga SaratogaGreen Green 11 Morris ship ed to Toronto from Windsor He will rest his horses until the opening of the meeting at Dufferin Park Secretary Norvell re ¬ ports that a carload of horses from New York in ¬ cluding the stable of A Garsou and a carload from Baltimore including the string owned by W L Oliver are due to arrive in Toronto next week
