HEARTBEAT ran gamely, but could never improve his position and was driving hard at the end to outstay AUTUMN. The latter came fast through the stretch. XOBLE GRAND showed speed.- but tired. VELSINI showed the most early speed and furnished keen contention until in the last quarter. LIZZIE FIAT ran poorly, but wore the tiring RAPACIOUS down and beat her out In the final stride. The latter began slowly and moved up with a rush after entering the homestretch, but tired after disposing of THE GOAT. The latter was rushed to the front at the start and, showing siieed in the going, set the pace to the last eighth, then tired. TAXDSTICKOR finished well. J. B. MAYLOW quit.
