WATER LADY began slowlv. but closed a gap and. having .ayed ground when entering the homestretch, finished gamely. EXECUTOR set the pace to the last eighth, and tired under punishment. BESOM took the lead at once and showed a high flight of speed to the stretch, but tired in the last sixteenth. CHARLESTONIAN began slowlv. but finished fast and gamely and ran an excellent race. AMBROSE finished fast and close up. YENGHEE was going well at the end. SIR JOHN JOHNSON began slowly and tired and quit after being rushed up into forward contention. DANGEROUS MARCH met with much interference while going to the first turn and was sayed 1k-Iiind the leaders for the first three-quarters, then responded with a rush when called on in the last eighth and won going, away CLIFF STREAM saved ground all the way and outgamed COLONEL ASHMEADE in the final drive. The latter was much used in racing RBY into defeat and tired in the final drive SPELLBOUND fairly well. ELLA GRANE closed a big gap. REY set the pace to the homestretch and quit badly. JACQUELINA was away badly.
