SOMETHING NEW FOR DELICATE FEEDERS. According .to "Deutscher Sport" a preparation called "Lavocat" has been used with wonderful results by trainers of thoroughbreds In Austria-Hungary during the past season. The preparation, it i stated, had been used in the French army for years and had also been extensively adopted in the Austrian army and by big breeding studs for foals and yearlings prior to its becoming the vogue iu racing stables. The preparation is for poor feeders, whether from constitutional causes or from overwork and it is a wonderful pick-me-up and restorative, according to our contemporary. It contains nuclein. composed of much iron,- phosphorus, magnesium and calcium, extracted in the form of hour from plants, and is evidently a owerful tonic. The question is, would the Jockey Club class it as a stimulant? London Sportsman.
