CAMELLIA was probably best and. finishing fast, would have won with more energetic riding in the early running. HARCOURT came from a long way back in the stretch. COY, showing much the most speed, sprinted into a long lead at once and won all the way never fully extended. DICK DEADWOOD responded gamely to a hard drive in the stretch and finished with a rush. LOAN SHARK ran well up for the entire race, but finished tiring. CHEMULPO came fast at the end. K1VA was a forward contender to the stretch, but tired fast in the last eighth. KALINKA followed GROSVENOR closely to the last quarter, where she moved up rapidly under urging and, taking a good lead, won in a canter. L. II. ADAIR, suddenly improved, was taken back and saved for the first half and, when called on, responded with a rush in game fashion. HARRY LAUDER made a threatening challenge on the lower turn, but lost ground by being forced to turn wide into the stretch. GROSVENOR set the pace to the last turn and tired badly in the stretch. Silt JOHN JOHNSON showed the most early speed, but had to be hard ridden in the stretch and tired near the end. AVILHITE was excessively used in the early running and failed to respond when called on in the stretch. SHERAVOOD was well up all the way. SAMUEL R. MEYER was outpaced all the way. SERAICBNCE had a slight advantage at the start, but was forced back in the first three-eishths. then came with a rush in the last quarter and got up to win in the last seventy yards. CHARTIER moved into the lead with a rush in the first quarter, but tired near the end. TOM HOLLAND closed u big gap in the last quarter and finished fast. EARL OF SAAOY also closed a gap and ran in improving form. BATWA showed early speed, but quit. Overweights Batwa, 2 iKiunds. ,
