Algernon Daiugcrticld. assistant secretary of the Jockey lub. who has been through a long siege of llliies:, is back at his desk. He is now on the road to complete recovery. On January 20 I. Mnher, the well-known jockey, was lying at his residence at Cropwell Rutler. near Nottingham, suffering from a severe chill, but had passed a good night, and his Illness was less serious than was at lirst feared when n London specialist was called iu. Maher hoped to be out of bed in a few days. , .
