HAVRE DE GRACE STAKES TO CLOSE. The attention of owners and trainers is directed lo the liberal list of stake races proffered by the llarrord Agriculture and Breeders Association of Havre de Grace, Maryland. These events will close for entries at midnight of Mouday, March 2. Tbe subscriptions are slight in proportion to the values to be won and the starting fees are also such as to be burdensome to no owner. The events range in endowment from ,500 added to ,000 guaranteed and are to be run at the associations spring meeting of fifteen days, April IS to May 5 inclusive. For so early iu the racing season they are really of exceptional values and should prove de-cideiilv attractive to horsemen. The Havre de Grace" meetings have provetl quite successful affairs and have provided healthy amusement to. thousands of patrons from Baltimore. Washington, Philadelphia.
