NOTES OF THE TURF. Hichard 1. Ledgott, a well-known California horseman, died at Oakland recently. Out of 91S thoroughbred mares registered in Germany last year, 030 had foals. Seven mares foaled twins. Jockey llenrv Hadtke, brother of the noted rider Herman Hadtke, has signed to ride for Count Laza-lefT in Hussia the coining summer on remunerative terms. J. 1". In addition to the list of owners published not long : ago Tor which II. Eugene Leigh, is to train in France this year, lie is to handle the horses of Count Gerard de Moustiers. The fame of the Kentucky Derby is traveling afar. Le Jockey, the leading French publication devoted to racing, published the conditions of this notabl? American race in a recent issue.
