May IS.— The Juvenile Stakes, five furlongs, worth 82,050 md to the winner, featuring today s card at Churchill Downs, was accounted for by John W. Schorrs black gelding .Mars Caaaldy, a half-brother to Old Rosebud, iu handy fashion. Mars Cassidy scored over ordinary opposition, with Lea Invalides second and Jeff Roberta third. Solar Star, showing hue form, and lueky throughout, just lasted long enough to outstay Strong. The latter was probably best, as he was away In a tangle aud forced to close an immense gap during the last furlong of the trip. Benanel. also away forwardly, managed to take third place. Kdda. making her tirst appearance under colors this season. refused to leave the barrier with the others and was left al the post. Decause she shirked her work, she was worked a mile iu 1 : 11 :h, after the last race. The worst upset that the public experienced during the afternoon came in the third race when Boots and Saddle was decisively beaten by Sebago and Korf hage, the former winning by a scant length, with Korfnage hading Boots and Saddle by a bead. Boots and Saddle showed extreme speed for a half mile. Put weakened thereafter as if short. B. R. Bradley more than offset his loss on Boots and Saddle by Baybcrr.v Candles success in the opening dash. Tin-lillv was al i.n extremely liberal price and had a good bit of racing luck iu her favor to aid in her victory. Lady Moonet. which linishcd second. would have taken her measure but for being forced to go wide from a slow beginning. Mose Cohlblalt. who has had charge of the extensive string of racers owned by Jefferson Livingston since that sportaaaaa entered the ranks of owners, will turn over the management and care of the stab! • lo Herman I.raudt at the close of tiie Churchill Downs meeting. Goldblatt will still be connected with Mr. Livingston and will be on the lookout for good horses to strengthen the stable. but Brandt will have charge and do the training. Goldblatt has for some time bad under considers tion turning over the stable to some good man in order to engage in lighter duties, but has been prevented from doing so on account of the sickness of most of the horses. Now that the horses have all rounded to and are in gixid racing condition. he eels he can step aside and take a short rest.
