WILL DEMONSTRATE DEMAND FOR RACING. Baton Rouge. La.. May 22.— The supporters of racing iu Hie stale legislature, who are urging the passage of the lteinharilt. commission bill, will have a large crowd of merchants and business men here from New Orleans next Tuesday. They pxpeet to flood the state capital with them as a demonstration that New Orleans wants a return of the races under proper control. Announcement was made today by Leon Locke, of Lake Charles, lender of Hie opposition forces, that no opposition would be offered in the Citv Affairs committee when the bill comes tip for a bearing next week. "Neither will any speeches be mad.- from the floor." said Mr. Locke. "We ex-[N-ct to have enough votes to kill the hill wlieu it comes out of committee."
