I I t I CASABA IS ONLY WINNING FAVORITE. Decision of Ottawa Card Attended by Some Unexpected Results — Yorkville Wins Handicap. Ottawa, »nt.. June 22. -Todays program at Ooa-aaaght Park was made up of a series of well balanced raeea, which were attended with some surprises. Lewis Garth saved the favorite followers from a complete Waterloo when he sent Samuel lt,,ss two-year old lilly I asaba to the post in the second race. Caaaba found strong sappart and won in easy fashion after being reserved lieliind the pace until straightened out in the homestretch. A majority of the winners led from start to finish and several of them scored by comfortable marjiins. There were no close finishes and the sport was rather tame. a complete upset eaase with the rannlag of the Sifton Plate, the feature race of the afternoon. It was a dash of six furlongs, ,000 added, and the winner turned up in Yorkville. which scored easily after leading for most of the way. Bherwood ami Susan It., coupled as the J. W. Hedriek entry, ruled favorite, but ran a disappointing race. Susan P,. showed a keen turn of early speed, but retired after oin half a mile.
