DOUBLE EAGLES WALDEN QUINCY STABLES YOUNGSTER ACCOUNTS FOR STAKE AT OLD PIMLICO. . Elankenburg Beats Shannon River in Elkridgo SteeplechaseShipment from Kentucky Reaches Maryland Course. Baltimore, Md., November 7. The Walden Stakes, was the particular attraction at Pimlico this afternoon. The Quincy Stables Double Eagle was added to the list of winners of the race which includes Jubilee. Trance, Fauntleroy, Zeus, Penobscot, Ten Poiut and Superintendent. Double Eagles victory was accomplished rather easily. Burliugame got him into a forward position at the start and be took the first turn in second place behind Sarsenet, the Montpelier Stables entry. A furlong from borne Double Eagle had Sarsenet beaten and Uazzano loomed up as a contender, but Double Eagle, under a skillful ride, had plenty in reserve and came home a comfortable winner by a length and a half. The LIkridge Steeplechase Handicap was the other special race of the day. and It went to Blaukenburg, which waited on Shannon River, the pacemaker, from the start until the last fence, where he went Into the lead and easily held bis advantage to the end. Chupadero, a three-year-old in the stable -of "Miss Cbamblet," with much the worst of the weights, showed an excellent performance. He was in the thick of the contest all the way and held on gamely despite interference from Shannon River and Baybrook. Cliupaderos race stamps him as a jumper much above the ordinary. Word was received from Ottawa that at an election of officers of the Connaught Park Jockey Club, the followlug were elected for the coming year: President Hon. Senator N. A. Belcourt. First Vice-President Hou. Clifford Slfton. Second Vice-President Thomas Ahem. Third Vice-President G. E. Taucpiier. General Manager Albert Rohrback. The stable of 11. P. Dodson has been shipped from Benning to Palmetto Park, Charleston. Several more shipments, including a division of J. O. Talbotts string, will leave for Charleston Monday. The horses thilt Amos Turney will race at Pimlico and Havre de Grace arrived from Latonia last night. J. C. Gallaher is expected tomorrow with a division of his stable. Jockey F, Murphy and several other .riders are also looked tfpr on Monday. Murphy will ride for James Arthur during the remainder of the Maryland season.
