CUBAN PRESIDENT SUPPORTS RACING. Cincinnati, O., November 7. H. D. Brown was at Latonia this afternoon and mingled among the horsemen, dispensing Information iu regard to bis plans for Havana raciug the coming winter. He spoke enthusiastically of the prospects and assured the hortemen that the meeting iu the Cuban capital would meet with great success. He also stated that local interest in the coming meeting was exceedingly keen and that President Meuocol is giving the racing bis support. The chief executive of Cuba and his cabinet were at the proposed track last week and took a big interest in the preliminary work or putting the plant In shape. Everything at the track will be completed by December 20, according to Manager Brown, and the racing will be inaugurated January 7. President Mcnocol has announced his intention of adding a handsome silver cup to the ,500 .Meuocol Handicap, to be run January 31. .Mr. Brown will deoart for Pimlico tomorrow.
