STAKE RACE BRINGS UPSET ROBERT BRADLEY LEADS ALL THE WAY IN HANDICAP AT HAVRE DE GRACE. Horses Performance Represents Rank Reversal of Form Biggest Field of the Season Starts in Opening Race Astute Takes Steeplechase. Baltimore. Md.. November 21. Robert Bradley, W. U. Mlzelis McGee Lady Quex colt, which .e took from J. K. Tyree out of a selling race at Charleston last year for .00, was the winner of the Old Bay Handicap at Havre de Grace this afternoon. Kollert Bradley spreadeagled about the best lot or handicap horses in training this afternoon and won bv four lengths with his rider pulling up. At no stage of the running was Robert Bradley in daiiger. Flittergold, Tartar and Buskiu each gave challenge, but Robert Bradley played with them all the way and was in much better form today than he has been showing recently. In his preceding effort he met practically the same horses at little difference in the weights. To be exact, Robert Bradley, with 100 pounds up, one-pound more than he carried today, Mulshed last in a race won by Flittergold with 111 pounds. Today Flittergold carried li:t. Tartar, Flittergold and Buskiu alternated in second place in todays racing and at the end Tartar outlasted Flittergold. while Buskin linished fourth. Twentv horses, the largest field of the meeting, and for that matter of the fall season, faced starter Milton in the first race. Coy was a strong choice and won easily. C. It. Fleischmanns Astute, which had been showing good form won the steeplechase in a canter from Svosfet and Mystic Light. Astute went to the front after Jesuit had shown the way for a while and opened a big lead. Syosset passed the others easily enough, but could never get near the winner and evidently is not as good as he was. John rowers has taken over the horses belonging to Phil Hymns and will ship them from here to Cuba, where he will campaign the string.
