5 i , SENATOR CAMDEN TO HAVE NEW TRAINER. Peter Wimnler Succeeds J, 0. Kcene in Charge of important Kentucky Stable. Lexington. Ky.. November 20. J. O. Keene, having resigned, Peter Wimmer will train United States Senator Johnson N. Camdens horses for the racing season of 1015. Trainer Kcenes resignation came about through a desire on the part of Senator Camden that lie have in ids stable no horses but his own or others in which he owned an interest. Mr. Keene was not willing to accept the terms proposed by Senator Camden for his exclusive services, and endorsed trainer Wimmer as his successor. Messrs. Camden and Kcene parted company jn entire good feeling and trainer Keene today turned over to Wimmer the three-year-old Bringhurst, the two-year-olds Solly, Luke and One Step, and four yearlings, including the bay colt by Ben Brush Nuns Cloth; bay filly by Ben Brush My Beauty; chestnut colt by Star Shoot Trent, and the chestnut filly sister to Helios, by Star Shoot Hindoo Rose, "which will constitute the Camden string for next year. Mr. Kcene has several youngsters of his own, which will command his attention and he said today that he does not care to train any others. "I have a dozen good broodmares and a small farm that require more attention that I have been devoting to them" said he, "and I intend to remain here during the greater portion of the coming year and, look after niy own affairs." The Camden-Keene combination was productive of a number of brilliant turf successes. With Helios, Imrcrator and Luke running in the Camden colors, Mr. Keene won three times successively the Breeders Futurity. He saddle Helios when he won the Cincinnati Trophy, the Harold Stakes and thq Quickstep Stakes, won the Camden Handicap with Wheelwright, the Spinaway Stakes with Casuarina and the Spring Trial and Bashford Manor Stakes with Luke. Sparkling speed was shown by these horses in a number of instances. Imrerator set the Lexington track record Tor five furlongs at 1:00, Bringhurst ran live and one-half furlongs in 1:04 at Churchill Downs, and it was an American record when made. Bringhurst also holds the .Churchill Downs record of 1:11 for three-quarters of a mile. Helios set the Latonia three-quarters .mark at 1:11. Solly holds the Saratoga track record of 1:05 for live and one-half furlongs. Luke carried 124 pounds and ran five furlongs in 58 at jJouglas Park, which is only one-fifth of a second slower than the track record set by Old Rosebud, with 115 pounds up. .
