The latter closed a gap and moved up On the inside, but tired after getting to the leaders. VIDET and LINDA PAYNE ran fairly well. ENCORE was off badly, but ran poorly. BUSHY HEAD was a forward contender all the way, but tired and just lasted long enough to outstay HARRY SHAW. The latter was forced wide on the first turn and had to work his way uli on the outside, but finished fast and gaining. CLIFF FIELD and AMBROSE ran well, but tired in the bfretch drive.
