Overcomes Early Interference and Gets Up to Beat Emerald Gem by Narrow Margin in Sensational Finish Coup Brought Off with Marshon. Charleston, S. C. December 10. R. E. The layers were hit heavily during the afternoon, nil the winners being extensively supported. The Col inn connections again scored a coup, with the veteran .Marshon on this occasion serving as the medium, lie was decidedly best of Ids field and won as jockey Turner pleased.
