WILSONS TOTAL OF 9,630 Twenty-eight horses raced under the Montpeler Stable colors this year, a number of which were passed on to other ownerships from time to time as the racing campaign progressed. The net result of .their endeavors was seventy-three races and 0,010 won, a gain over the stables record of fifty-nine races and ?43.rST won in 1913. No really high-class horse was in Mr. Wilsons possession this year, nor for that mutter in recent years. Such as Ainalfi, Pomette Bleu, Tartar, Hester Prynne and Montresor were good race horses, but nothing approximating great race horses. None of his two-year-olds was more than useful.. It is really to be hoped that the future holds in store for this high-class turfman the acquisition of raceps of the Roaraer class. No one did more for the restoration of New York Tacing and it would be but -fitting that his rewar1 should be one of those imperial creatures that only crop tip now and then to bring great joy to their proud owners.
