GOSSIP FROM BLUE GRASS REGION REGIONl l xington Ky April 27 Willis Sharpe Kilmer of Blngnamton N Y has been here for a few days having arrived in his private car Glen Eyre accompanied by his wife his secretary G A Whlliplo aiid his guests Mr and Mrs John Clapp also of Biiigliamton Mr Kilmer came here for the purpose of buying throughbreds as It is his intention to go quite extensively into breeding aiiJ racing Notwithstanding the fact that Mr Kilmer is many titties a millionaire and consequently a man with big and varied interests owning among other proiverties the Binghamton Press the lead ¬ ing newspaper in that section of New York he yet finds time to devote Ills attention to several forms of sport lie Is a skilled yachtsman an enthusiastic golfer owns and breeds steeplechasers and hunters to which branch of racing he has hitherto devoted most of Ills attention Mr Kilmer besides his place near Binghamton owns an estate on the Rap pahannock River in Virginia comprising between two and three thousand acres and it is here that he will probalily locate the breeding establishment he is rapidly getting together Last week he con ¬ summated a deal by which he became owner
