scenes on Saturday May 22 when the gates of Douglas Park are opened for the annual spring meeting at this beautiful racing plant which this year runs for thirteen racing days winding up on Saturday June 5 Tlie big feature race at Douglas Park is the 10000 added Kentucky Handicap which will be of greater net value than any of the big stakes run on the Kentucky tracks tills season It will be richer than many of the Brooklyn and Suburban Handicap races in the old days and of greater value than any race for three yearolds and over ever decided on a Kentucky track The event this year has
