PIMLICO FINISHES CLOSE Water Xady Takes the Feature Eaca and Defeats Wanda Pitzer Kintorc Promising Jumper rimlico Mil May 10 The Hill Top Selling Handicap a dash of threequarters that served as the feature race at Pimlico this afternoon furnished a splendid contest in which the first three horses passed the Judges necks apart The winner turned up in Water Lady which came from behind after coming wide when entering the homestretch and finishing with a splendid effort beat Wanda Pitzer in the closing strides Corsican set the pace until well into the homestretch and in the final drive olutelyWellmatched hung on re olutely Wellmatched fields went to the post in a ma ¬ jority of the races and in several of them the winner was in doubt until in the final strides Sir William Johnson and Richwood won their races by the smallest margins The former beat what was supposed to IHJ a good thing In Coin which was making his first appearance in a couple of years Coin might have won had Turner not been overconfident He delayed making his move just a bit too long At the end Coin was gradually wearing the winner down downWorstdale Worstdale showed a good performance in the Linstead Steeplechase in which he came from be ¬ hind to beat the favorite Garter a length in a driving finish Worstdalo is a solidlooking colt and in todays effort he fenced cleanly and finished gamely gamelyAtaka Ataka one of the Sprcckels twoyearolds that are to be sold in the paddock at Pimlico on Satur ¬ day proved an easy winner of the opening dash She was off none too well but finished fast
