Occasional showers continued throughout the afternoon and the crowd, which was of smaller proportions than usual, was compelled to seek the shelter of the stands from tfcsM to time. All Smiles was outpaced in the early running, but moved up swiftly on the stretch turn and won handily. Saratoga met with sonic interference, after which he closed up and finished resolutely.
