AUTUMN STAKES FOR CHURCHILL DOWNS. Preparatory to the approaching fall campaign Of racing over the Kentucky tracks, Hie three prin cipal turf organizations of that state have announced their usual provision of stiike races. Lexington devotes its fall meeting to parse racing exclusively, but for the Churchill Downs, Douglas Park and Latonia meetings there is a provision of stake races scant v in number, but of good values. For the meeting of eight days at Churchill Downs four stake races will close for entries August is, three ol" which are for three -year-olds and over and one for two-year-olds, being the following. For Three-Year-Olds and Over. St. Leger Handicap. S2.1WIO added: 2 1-4 miles. Falls City Handicap. *2.ooo added; 3-4 mile. Cherokee Selling Stakes. ,000 added; 1 110 miles. For Two-Year-Olds. Golden Roil Selling Stakes. ,000 added: 3-4 mile. The conditions if these events are set forth elsewhere in this edition. They are well worth winning and worthy of liberal patronage in the way of entries.
