Toronto, Out,, August 14. — Favored with ideal weather, the summer meeting of the Toronto Driv- im. club commenced at HUlcreat Park this after- noon. The track was a tritle heavy in the main stretch, but the going of the remainder was good. Stirring finishes were in order. Smiling Maggie, ciini and Carrie Orase wen their respective races by the shortest of margins. The riding of jockey culieii was a feature, the youngster piloting thre«» winners. Only two decided favorites were success-it fill, although several well -backed second choices earn, d brackets. Ihe stable •!
