i I ■ i CONNAUGHT PARK CLUB OFFICERS. ■ Ottawa. Ont., Xoveinber 3.— The first meeting of the new hoard of directors of the Connaught Park Jockev Club took place Monday, when active officers for the ensuing year were elected. Hon. Senator N. A. Relcourt was again chosen us president and Sir Clifford Sifton. Mr. T. Ahearn and Mr. L K. Fauquier as vice presidents. Mr. C. Boss as honorary secretarv. and Mr. E. S. Houston as honorary treasurer. Mr. Boss was instructed to go south short ly to inspect the pari li.utuel machines and to arrange for the purchase and installation of the best avail-1 ■ able "iron men." It was decided to erect fifty new ■ stables at Connaught Park and to arrange for extensions to the present pavilliou. The selection of f a manager was deferred. Mr. Rohrbacks successor r when appointed will be a local man.
