For •be Grand Union and Inited States Hotel Stakes Secretary Earlocker reports 120 entries each. In the Spinaway. exclusively Tor fillies, there are 109 ntries. Heretofore seventy-five entries in such races were considered good. The Hopeful, a guaranteed stake of 7,500. the cost to start a horse lieing 0O. has received 129 nominations. For the Scab Bag Handicap, fifty-five subscriptions have lieen sent in. Hie previous record was thirty-eight. For the Metro|«.litan Handic.ip. to he run at Belmont Park, there are fifty-seven entries as agaimt ihirty-seven this year. The Suburban Handicap has fifty three entries. In all the minor stakes a like increase in the entries is noticeable. Albert Simons has recovered from his operation for appendicitis. Tta-re is no truth in a minor that A. J. Jovuer will train W. R.
