All Misunderstandings Cleared Up and All Hands Turn to Work for the Meeting. New Orleans. La., December 28. — Harmony is now the slogan with the Business Mens Racing Association. Whatever misunderstanding existed, were effectively done away with as the result of a meeting held last night. The members of the association pledged themselves to pull together and make the coming meeting one of the best ever held. The executive committee was increased to five members and now consists of President I. B. Reunyson, vice-president John Dillon. M. Michelis, A. B. Lelettier and D. J. Virgin. Messrs Dillon and Virgin are the new members. A finance committee was also created, consisting of J. E. Fearee, W. E. Millin-lierger and 11. Noar. After the meeting there was a banquet. Joseph A. Murphy was given full powers in the conduct of the meeting and he will have for his chief aid T. C. Campbell, who will also serve as presiding steward. Training operations were practically suspended today at the Fair i rounds, due to a heavy downpour of rain. Manager Murphy aud his official staff put in most of the day going over the list of ap- plications by trainers and jockeys for licenses. This work was greatly facilitated by the fact that all the applicants, with the exception of two, were known to be in good standing. There was another steady stream of arrivals during the day. mostly from the east and including many notables ou the New Vork tracks. Leo Mayer and his party came last night. Harry White came from Havana in quest of horses for Oriental Park, where 100 more horses could be used to advantage in connection with the racing. Hard rains this morning caused a suspension of training operations and slow works were the rule. The "dogs" blocked the inside part of the track. and what preliminaries were indulged in took place over the outer portion of the course. Among the best trials were: Ambrose — Mile in 1:59.
