May W. by Ben Trovato — Belle of Mayfiold, the winner at Juarez, was bred by O. H. Chenault at Spendthrift Stud. Qcstgt Miller for several years In charge of thoroughbreds at Blmendorf farm, returned today from a visit to San Francisco, San Diego, Juarez, and New Orleans. James Hukill. Paris. Texas announced t.«lay he will quit the trotters and train a stable of runners this j e-ar. Price Headier has purchased Me-iissa tin foal to Ivan the Terrible from Tom Brown. Captain W. W. Wilder has sold Topsy Over, in foal to Plaudit and Nell Wilder in foal to Sweepi. to Charles Nuckols, Jr.. of Versailles. Hugh Hunter, trained to jump by H. E. Reed of Lexington, will be shipped this week to Howard Lewis at Elkton. Md.. and will be raced in steeplechases.
