January 7. — It had been expect I that at last Tuesdays meeting of tlie Canadian Racing Associations the dates and officials for next season would be settled. It is understood that the tentative list of dates arranged was tabled until after the Dorval Jockey Club had made a full settle-niiiit of purses outstanding from the meeting at Dorval last September. it was It anied that hero will be little if air change in dates »s compared with those of last seas,, a. Racing will begin at Woodbine Iark. Toronto, as in former years. There probably will not be any change in tlie officials. It is said that Joseph A. Murphy will again be the steward representing the Canadian Racing Associations :ir the vari ,us tneetiims. Joseph McLennan will be clerk of the scales for all meetings. A. B. Dade will be gee owUtal starter and Francis Nelson the presiding Judge, at toe majority of tlie meetings, while at others he will officiate as steward as last year at Ottawa. The association will insist on the clubs appointing competent stewards for their meetings this aaaaan. other matters of importance were deferred until tlie next mooting of the associations for which no dale lias been set.
