DISCUSSING PROPOSED RICH STAKES. New York. January 15. — The directors of the Halted Hunts Pacing As-ociation. J. Temple Gwath-mey. Henry Bell. John McC. Cowman and secretary Henry A. Bock, Inspected the course at Delmont Park Terminal today and held a directors meeting later. The object was to form plans and discus- eaa-ditioas for the proposed stakes to be decided this year. The sum I f 125,800 bas been subscribed by mem tors of the association to encourage the better class of horses to take part in the races held over Ihis natural racing course. It is probable there will be two ,000 steeplechases, one ,000 race on the Hat and two ,600 races on the Hat. This atoaey will be added to subscriptions and the remainder of the 5,000 will be used in overnight event-. John K. Madden is in town. He will probably stay until alter the sale of the Haras do Yillers two year olds at Durlands next Thursday. Doiiert L. Gerry, a member of the Jockey Club, la- proposed an amendment to the rules at racing which prohibits it duplication of the name of a horse f r ten years, if such horse has lieen heard from either as a racer or in the stud in the lime. Heretofore duplication of names has been barred for only live years.
