CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Detour has bad knees and legs. Emerald Gem is credited with excellent trials through the steeplechase field this spring. S. H. Kelly lias purchased from F. ;. Schv.-eiger. the bay stallion Stetson. 9. by Nasturtium — Ron Air II.. by Spendthrift. Jockey W. Gourley is progressing favorably at Hot Springs and is now out of danger, though lie will have to remain in the hospital for some time. Jockey O. Gentry has gone to his home in Greenville. Texas, where he will remain for some time. Later on he will report to J. Randolph at Tijuana. Little Mike Daly has just received at Renning six horses from Archibald Barkley, of Philadelphia, among them the good performers Holiday and Blankenburg. The Calcutta Daily Mail announces the death of Kour Sahib of Patiala. one of Indias prominent supporters of racing. He raced for alKiut twenty -five years, among the successful horses owned by him being Cherry and Wandin, both winners of the Viceroys Cup. Andrew Millers bay colt Skeptic-, by Sain— Inspiration, is s.iid to lie an unusually promising two-year-old and to have run one of the fastest quarters run by a yearling at Gravesend last fall. Two others well thought of in the same stable are Town Hall, by Ballot— Dorval. and Ticker, by Ballot— Princess Orna.
