CELANDRIA was slmlllcd back on the last turn and raced extremely wide for the remainder of thi! race, but outstayed LORAC in the linal drive. LORAC showed brilliant speed in pacemaking, but tired in the linal eighth. MALACHITE was crowded back on the turn and closed a big gap. STARGAZER raced well, finished gamely and outstayed IIOlR-LKSS in the linal drive. IIOLRLESS raced on the outside of the leaders in the early running, saved ground when coming into the homestretch and finished gamely under his high weight. DUNGA DIN showed excellent speed in leading for live-eighths, hut tired in the stretch. AMALGAMATOR quit under pressure. PHILIPPIC was crowded back at the start and not persevered with. SANDAL ran well. BRIGHT STAR could never secure a clear course. GLOOMY GUS pulled up lame. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
