D0RVAL PARK RACING QUITE EXCITING. Close Finishes in Most of the Dashes Jockey Robinson on Four Winners. Montreal, tine.. September 14. The splendid program provided at Dorval this afternoon furnished many thrills and the racing was the keenest ever witnessed at this track. The first five races found the winners under sinew-straining drives to win by small margins and in several of the finishes the outcome remained in doubt until the official placing was displayed. Jockey Robinson was prominent in the afternoons results. He was beaten a nose and a neck with Korfhagc and Bavarrte ami won the second, third, fourth and sixth races, two of them by narrow margins. It was a perfect afternoon for outdoor snort and a crowd equal in number to that of the opening day was present. The success of the meeting is already assured, if one is to judge by the increased attendance and the increased patronage of the machines. There were two allowance races at one mile and seventy yards, and in one of them the sprinter Billy MeGee, trained by Willie Shields, made the most of the pace and, coming again in the last sixteenth, outstayed Fox Trot. The other race at this distance was won by Vcnctia, which beat Sands of Pleasure by a nose. Jockey H. Snyder was suspended for the remainder of the meeting by the starter for disobedience at the post, and R. McDermott -was fined 0 for the same offense. The Canadian bred Sacal has been turned over to Wm. Oliver to train, which makes him eligible to start again. It. F. Carman left Blue Bonnets this morning for Laurel with the big string lie is training for Wilfrid Viau of Montreal. The stable had poor success tit Blue Bonnets. Several supposed "good things" that were sent to the post during the meeting, failed to make good, including the 0,000 1 Skeer Face. B. T. Littlefield lias arranged to ship the Seagram string to Toronto tomorrow. Matt Feakes ; will leave witli Mrs. L. A. Livingstons string at the same time and .1. W. Healey will go with I tlie Garth horses. The Canadian-bred filly Planover. winner of the Kings Plate at Bint Bonnets, will be shipped to Gwynn Tompkins farm in Virginia, for mating with the imported horse Sea Horse II. T. K. Cummings was an arrival from Windsor " with his horses, lie brought jockey II. Thurher with him. Jockey K. AVeatlierby was suspended for the remainder of the meeting by starter Dade for disobedience at the post. Lieut. J. K. L. Boss has turned over the two-year-olds Highway and Berthier to T. J. Bird. The former ran in the name and colors of Mr. Bird I this afternoon. Ask Ma came out of her race at Blue Bonnets slightly lame, but is going along again. Rancher, which pulled tin lame in his last stin t at Windsor, i is again taking his gallops, thauks to the careful attention of his trainer. John Walters. Rancher was supposed, by some horsemen, to be developing a ringbone, but such is not the case. Jockey F. Robinson announced that, at the conclusion , or the Toronto meeting, lie would go to Laurel, whore he would ride as a free lance. H . Neusteter will go to the Kenilworth track - " with the promising apprentice Lykes. The horsemen racing at Dorval are much pleased I 1 with the decided improvement in track conditions over previous years and many of them have already spoken for stalls for nest springs meeting.
