WHITNEY STUD -MATRONS AT LEXINGTON. Lexington, Ky., October 28. Eighteen of Harry Payne Whitnej-s thoroughbred mares arrived this morning from Brookdale Farm at Red Bank, N. J. They were turned over to Charles II. Berryman, manager of Elmendorf, who sent them to Iliuata Farm, where they are to be wintered under the direction and supervision of George Miller. A stallion, quite likely Peter Pan, will be sent out from the New Jersey establishment. The marcs here and the stallions witli which they were mated last spring are Ascension, with All Gold, Belle Fontaine, witli Broomstick, First Flight, with Peter Pan, Folderol, with Whisk Broom, Hearts, with All Gold, Jinks, with All Gold, Lady Frivoles, with Broomstick, Leisure, with Peter Pan, Martha, with Whisk Broom, Paint Brush, witli Peter Pan, Queen of Hearts, witli Whisk Broom, Remembrance, witli Peter Pan, Rumpus, witli All Gold, Sweepawa3 with Peter Pan, Tree Dove, with All Gold, Yankee Girl, with All Gold. Polly Flinders and Florence were not bred. G. W. J. Bisseil will divide his stable next winter and will send Mac, Seminole, Idolita and Otisco to Havana in charge of J. H. Stotler, while Filigree and Sister Emma and ten yearlings by Mr. Bissells stallion, Rapid Water, will be taken to New Orleans by James Gass. The yearlings are now in training at the Kentucky Association course and are a promising collection. Five colts are out of the mares Gunwad, Linda Lee, Icaria, Lady Baldur and Lady Ornima. The five fillies are out of Alberta H., Mabel Richardson, Comet. Playground and Bettie Bereaud. Dainty Mint, Icaria, Lady Baldur, Lady Ornima, Maria C. and Tourmaletta, all bred to Rapid Water, are to remain at Beaumont Farm with four weanlings by Rapid Water out of Alberta H Bettie Bereaud, Icaria and Tourmaletta.
