TIJUANA FEATURE RACE TO DELIVER. Wins New Years Day Handicap in a Gruelling Drive with Virile. Tijuana. Mex., January 1. — Deliver proved that she was able to run over a sticky track, when BBC stood a terrific drive to win the New Years Day Handicap. Deliver made every post a winning one and withstood challenge after challenge to finally defeat irile in a fast finish. Virile was far out of it in the early stages, but closed resolutely. Guide Post finished third. Dorothy Dean |M Slippery Klin declined the issue because of the change of track conditions. An excellent crowd was on hand despite the rains of the morning. Hundreds of out-of-town folks were at the races. Barney Schreiber was an arrival this morning. He plans on cutting in tomorrow. King Dick finally found a field he could beat when he won the third race. Billy Culbertsou, winner of the second race, was claimed by C. . McCafferty. G. Alexandra in turn claimed Prosperous Baby. The first two-yoar-ohl race was held today and it proved an easy victory for May Mausley. by Stalwart — Kisberdale. Her stablcinate, Pauline Crowley, was second.
