GERMAN RACING PLANS. Although tiie German racing dates for 1917 have not ei been fixed, a total of fifty-six days rac-mg has been granted to the various Rerlin meetings alone. Grunewald having been given sixteen, a similar cumber to Hoppegarten and Karlshorst and eight to BUaaaberg. Hanover and Rreslau are to have even days apiece, Frankfurt-on Main and Cologne each six days, and so on. Hamburg Gross Borstel and Hamburg have each the name number ef days as last year, and various less important meetings have beea granted from three to four days apiece. Turning to Austria and Hungary. Vienna alone is to have racing on the flat on no fewer than sixty two days. All this goes to show how clearly the Central Rowers realize the ha portaace to the state of horse racing. —London Sporting Life.
