SAYONARRA WINS EARL ROGERS HANDICAP. Proves Best in Mile and Sixteenth Sunday Feature at Tijuana — Big Crowd Present. Tijuana. Mix.. March Is. — Banning gamely to the end. Bayonarra won the Karl Rogers Handicap here today. The Peter QnJace filly surprised all by going such a rattling mile and a sixteenth to beat Pallux by a neck. As it came about, the race proved one of the best of the meeting and Sayonarra siiowed her superiority, alter having finished second on several occasions against the licst horses at the track. Eddie Martin lost some ground turning into the stretch with Ilillux. or he might have won. The consistent oil Broom was third. Kate Bright again asserted her supremacy among the two-year-olds by winning the first race. Jockeys Pichaaa and Matthews carried off the riding honors of the day with two victories each. Pit kens effort on Kollin l.aird in the third race was a brilliant display of horsemanship.
